How a clip is made

Drawn

Every piece starts as a 3D model. The wings are sculpted feather by feather, then thinned until they catch light instead of blocking it. The two wings are not mirrored — each one is carved on its own, which is why the piece never looks stamped out.

Printed

One clip takes five hours on the printer. We print in silk PLA — a filament whose pearl sheen runs through the material rather than sitting on top of it the way paint would. It cannot chip off, because there is nothing on the surface to chip.

Finished by hand

Supports are cut away, the edges are smoothed, and the clamp is opened and closed until it holds the way it should. Then it is packed. Nothing skips this step, which is why an order takes a day or two to leave.

Halo Pearl

First light on the water

Cream that turns to champagne as you move. The quietest of the four — from across a room it reads as a shape rather than a colour, which is exactly the point. Wear it when you want the shape noticed and nothing else.

Horn Fiery Peach

The last twenty minutes of sun

Warm and unapologetic, closer to a lit ember than to a pastel. This is the half of the brand that does not ask permission. It is the only one of the four colourways that changes the temperature of a whole outfit.

Halo Tide

Shallow water over pale sand

A blue that keeps changing its mind — grey in the shade, almost turquoise in daylight. The coolest piece we make and the one people ask about most. It looks found rather than bought.

Horn Shadow

Metal, not darkness

Dark silver with a low sheen, like the back of an old spoon. It reads as jewellery rather than as an accessory — the wings take a hard edge of light and everything else stays in shadow.
